Home Remedies for Common Cold

  • Mix half teaspoon of turmeric powder and pepper  in warm milk and drink for quick relief of common cold.
  • Add ginger to boiling water and strain the mixture and drink hot 3-4 times per day.
  • Fry garlic in heated ghee and mix this with hot white rice and eat for relief from common cold.
  • Mix 1 teaspoon of honey + 1 teaspoon of lemon juice in half a cup of water and drink twice a day for quick relief from cold.
  • Add half teaspoon of asofetida to a cup of warm milk and drink twice a day.
  • Steam inhalation with relieves nasal congestion.
  • Taking hot water bath provides relief from body ache and provides soothing effect during cold.
  • Grind few tulsi seeds and ginger and take this mixture twice a day for relief from cold.
  • Drink lot of hot water during cold.

Prevention of common cold :

Hygiene: Wash your hands several times a day.

Avoidance: Keep distance from people who have cold, cough or sneeze

Diet: Eat healthy with food rich in vitamins. Drink 8 glasses of water per day.
