Causes for Wheezing:

Home Remedies for Wheezing:

Initially identify the cause of wheezing to treat it. Following are some home remedies to ease wheezing:

  • Mix 1 table spoon of honey with ½ table spoon of ginger extract and drink it twice a day. This helps to ease wheeze
  • Mix ½ tablespoon of turmeric powder in warm milk and drink at night. This helps to relieve cough and wheezing
  • Cover your chest and shoulder with  hot towel to soothen the muscles and relieve spasm, thereby controlling wheezing
  • .Inhale steam as it clear the air passage and nasal congestion, thereby reduces wheezing
  • Drinking Ginger tea or chamomile tea helps to reduce wheezing
  • Boil Garlic in water and sip this water slowly. This also gives relief
  • Above all remedies are very effective and very easy to use at home.

Prevention of Wheezing:

  • Stay away from allergens like pollen grains, dust, etc which triggers wheezing
  • Take extra care or precaution during winter season and cold seasons to prevent wheezing
  • Avoid cold drinks that aggravate wheezing
  • Do breathing exercise for 10-15 minutes daily
